Oakland County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot verify custody, arrange a release, post a bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Please use the responsible public office or official locator for those services.

The public counter is generally open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; some services may stop at 4:30 p.m. Call ahead before visiting. The Records Unit page explains its records-request role.
For a county records request, use the Oakland County FOIA Request Center. The county says a written, specific request is generally answered within five business days and may receive one extension of up to ten business days. Court-held records follow the court’s process rather than the county FOIA route.
Choose the official path that fits the question:
- For a person currently in adult county custody, start with the official CLEMIS Inmate Locator. A result can change as intake, transfer, or release occurs.
- For a booking photograph or jail file not available in the locator, contact the Records Unit or submit a focused FOIA request. Ask the office for any applicable fee estimate.
- For a case outcome, charges, or court activity, use Oakland County Court Explorer or the statewide MiCOURT case search. The court is the proper source for a final disposition.
- For a Michigan prisoner or person on qualifying state supervision, use MDOC OTIS. It does not cover people still held in a county jail or city lock-up.
- For federal custody, use the Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. For qualifying immigration detention searches, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator.
- For information about active wanted notices, review the Sheriff’s official list through Wanted Fugitives. Do not approach a person listed in a notice; use the official reporting directions.
